Description of the company and its activity
Metal Smelting has 3 production plants that offer the following production solutions:Large parts casting (Iurreta): Grey and nodular iron casting of pieces between 80 and 1500 kg (Automatic chemical moulding line. Medium/short series) and pieces up to 3000 kg (Manual line. Short series).
Medium parts casting (Legutio): Grey, nodular and adi iron casting of pieces between 15 and 80 kg (Horizontal green molding line - medium/large series).
Small partscasting (Elorrio): Nodular iron casting of pieces between 0.5 and 15 kg (disamatic molding line. Large series/automotive)
Main machinery
Automatic chemical molding line: Latest generation of machinery for molding, casting, demolding, shot blasting and deburring of parts (mixer, turner, coating manipulator, automatic coupler, speck storage, demolding, induction furnaces, shot blasting booth, etc.).Green molding line: 1 horizontal green molding line with a capacity of 120 molds/hour, 2 induction furnaces of 12tm each, demolding, shot blasting and deburring of parts.
Disamatic molding line: 2 modern molding lines, medium frequency induction furnaces, automatic induction casting furnace, presses up to 150 tm for finishing, hot and cold core production machines, etc.
Control means
We have state-of-the-art means of verification and control needed to guarantee the level of quality required by our customers (Spectrometer, microscopes, traction machines, hardness tester, magnaflux, tools for preparation of cast-samples, ultrasound, three-dimensional machine, etc.)
